For this dish, I use celery stalk but you can substitute any vegetables you like, brocolli, bell pepper, green beans, etc.
Ingredients:
Directions:
Ingredients:
- 2 lbs. Sirloin, or any cut of beef, thinly sliced
- 4 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon light soy sauce
- 2 stalks celery
- 1 cup water
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch diluted in 3 tablespoons of water
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
- Heat the oil in a pan. Sauté the garlic and onion.
- Add the beef. Continue to sauté until the beef turns medium brown.
- Add the oyster sauce, soy sauce, seasoning and water. Stir. Let boil.
- Cover and cook in low to medium heat for 30 to 45 minutes or until the beef becomes tender. Add more water if needed.
- Add more salt and pepper to taste if needed. Stir.
- Put the celery in. Cook until done.
- Pour-in the water with cornstarch. Stir and cook until the sauce thickens.
- Transfer to a serving bowl. Serve with rice or mashed potato.
