Curious about the taste and the price, I checked the Magnum out at Walmart Superstore to see if it is really the best tasting ice cream bar ever. Unfortunately the store only have the classic flavor at 3- bar pack, (3.38fl oz) for $3.28 and a standard size bar for 1.88 each.Okay, so the ice cream bar is already right in front of me.Hmm, too pricey and I am not sure if my kids are going like it. Being a practical mom, I opted for my kids favorite brand ice cream, a half gallon Blue Bell, dutch chocolate flavor for only $5.97 .It is not the cheapest ice cream in the US but I don't mind buying knowing that it is the best ice cream for my kids.
Rich, creamy chocolate ice cream made with the finest imported chocolate.
For my kids there are no better chocolate ice cream than Blue Bell Dutch Chocolate ice cream.
As for the Magnum ice cream bar. I will get some when the store has all the 3 flavors in an individual pack.
i've tried the 2 flavors of magnum and masarap naman pero i don't think i will always buy magnum, P50 is expensive for me. diagree naman ko sa parang pinipig crunch lang because you can taste the belgian chocolate naman. hehe!
ReplyDeleteHaven't heard of Blue Bell Ice Cream before, but I hope it's available here in Manila so I could try it. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is my friend's preferred brand too Miss Tess :-) I was really wondering what was all those hypes are all about. Maybe the marketing manager of Magnum in the Philippines is a genius! My Magnum Post
ReplyDeletewow ice cream perfect this summer, actually Magnum in other country was hyped too and have a good marketing, they just brought also that marketing here in PI
ReplyDeletei haven't tried Magnum yet..yeah true, some bloggers said ain't that good..while others said otherwise.. ;| hmP! i guess, i need to try it myself..
ReplyDeleteI tried Magnum ... okay naman. I wouldn't buy it lagi but if I crave, I would. As for Blue Bell, ala ata dito niyan. Sadness ...
ReplyDeleteMagnum has been here in Sweden since I can't remember when. It's not an expensive version of the classic chocolate Pinipig ice cream. It's more delicious but upon knowing that the price back home ranges from Php50 to 60, I think that's too much. Magnum tastes good but not that excellent. Once you've tried it, you will not find yourself craving for it. :) It's a good thing that you opted for the brand your kids love :)
ReplyDeleteWith all the hype about Magnum, good or bad, people are getting curious, including me! Hahahaha! I'm not too convinced to buy a P50 ice cream bar. Hahaha!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure your kiddos enjoyed the Blue Bell. It shows on their photo. =)
chocolate icecream never fails to put a smile on a kid's heart
ReplyDeleteHaven't tried both. But i think magnum has just nice name and so eye-catching cover that's why. ;)
ReplyDeleteI still havent tried Magnum but some says it is over rated and quite expensive...If you have your Blue Bell Ice cream in that side of the world...I am still laying my pennies with Selecta..until such time that I try Magnum
ReplyDeletenot really so enchanted with Magnum... I was really surprised to know that people were crazy about it in the Philippines. I'll still go for Haagen Dazs for life.
ReplyDeleteMust try the blue bell soon. I've tried Magnum already and will blog about it later :)
ReplyDeleteYani saan meron Bell d2 sa Pinas? Try natin po yehey! Rxcited ako!
ReplyDeleteHonestly, Magnum is good. I think your kids wouldn't be able to tell the difference from other ice cream bars though, so tama lang that you got their fave brand.. ^^ Hope I get to try Blue Bell too.
ReplyDeleteHmm nakikita ko yan sa SNR but never tried it. I always go for ben and jerry's kasi. Hmm matry nga.
ReplyDeleteI've tried Magnum, but I really don't get what the fuss is all about. Ben and Jerry's and Haagen Dazs are so, so much better. But then they're more expensive, too.
ReplyDeleteI really don't get all the fuss over Magnum. I've tried it and, well, nothing special there. B&J and Haagen Dazs are still the best, hands down. But I guess it's the price difference.
