Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 2 tsps baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup soften butter
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup evaporated milk or fresh milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup grated cheese
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg(optional)
Directions:
- Sift together all the dry ingredients.
- Cream butter until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well as you go on. Pour in milk and vanilla. Mix well.
- Fold the dry ingredients into the egg mixture until evenly blended.
- Fill the puto molds 2/3 of the way up with the batter and top with shredded cheese.
- Steam for 20-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean.
- Serve warm with grated coconut or butter.
