I love vegetable gardening these are some of the harvest from my vegetable garden last year. I did not plant any vegetables this year because we are moving to another place, to another State and we don't know the actual date, still waiting till now.
Last year was my first time to have a vegetable garden in one part of my property. I do not have knowledge in gardening so I just planted them the way I like it and ended up wasting some vegetable because of too much supply. I even gave some to friends and relative just not to spoil them.
Next year will be another year for me to plant vegetables. Husband promised to make me vegetable beds so I can do my gardening. Vegetable gardening is relaxing, a good exercise and fun to do. There is something therapeutic about growing plants and each gardening season is unique providing an opportunity to start over and try new vegetables or something new.

ReplyDeleteWow!! This is awesome. Picking your own veggies right at your garden is a very rewarding feeling. I used to harvest tomatoes and calamansi from my Dad's veggie garden and I do it until now. So love it.
ReplyDeleteWowwww, may sarili kang edible garden! I've always wanted to do edible gardening, but we really lack the space here. Thinking of vertical gardening. research pa.
ReplyDeleteI envy you Maam Tess, as much as we want to grow our own veggies from the backyard but it's very impossible to do that in a Residential Condo. Nothing beats the fresh hand picked vegetables in the garden.
ReplyDeleteI used to do gardening as well though we don't have a backyard, I was able to set up a garden at our rooftop. This inspired me to do another round, if only permitted by time, gardening , specially having to see flowers and crops is therapeutic!
ReplyDeleteYou post reminds me of my grandfather who love's gardening. He is a true blooded Ilocano from a family of rice farmers. When he became old, my father got him to live with us. While with us, he made the empty part of our lot into a vegetable garden with all kinds of crops for pinakbet and Now I always miss the taste of pinakbet with freshly harvested vegies =)
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing like home-grown vegetables for the family.
ReplyDeleteNothing like having a vegetable garden where you can pick up your fresh vegetables for your cooking needs. It saves you money and also relaxes you when you garden.
ReplyDeletei suddenly to have pritong talong for dinner! sana i can grow some veggies din someday :)
ReplyDeleteWow... that ws a good blog... I would like to make some build ups for my vegetable gardening blogs....
ReplyDeleteWow! I envy you mommy Tess. I'm not that big on vegetables, but there are certain veggies and herbs I would like to be available in our backyard. The problem though is, we don't actually have a spot at home where we can do vegetable gardening. My mom loves the idea, but maybe it'll materialize in the near future :) Hopefully.
ReplyDeletei suddenly want to have pritong talong for dinner later... i hope i can grow veggies as well...
ReplyDeleteVeggies that are harvested from your garden is a true sign of LUCK in the future. My grandfather taught me that when he is still alive. Plant your own garden and decorate your own soul. Harvest it with GOOD HEALTH and GOOD FUTURE.
ReplyDeleteIt's always nice to have your own garden wherein you can plant and grown your own veggies. I still remember the time wherein we do have our own calamansi, chili, okra, cabbage plants/veggies at our backyard.
ReplyDeleteI miss home (Balayan, Batangas)! We still have fruit and vegetable garden back home. I harvest fresh fruits and vegetables in the morning everytime I go home. Mama will cook it for lunch and some for dinner. That's always the best part whenever I'm home.
