Different ways to use up Christmas left over food.
- Cooked ham and turkey can be frozen. Just thaw it in the fridge for a casserole, stew, delicious pie recipe or a hearty sandwich.
- Mashed potato can turn into a delicious casserole or potato pan cake or patty.
- Biscuit can make a quick pudding topped with ice cream and drizzle of chocolate syrup.
- Boil up the turkey and ha bones to make delicious soup.
- There is no need to throw food away. Feed it to the poor homeless people.
- Don't cook too much in the first place.
- For storage, go for reusable Tupperware type containers rather than cling-film or tinfoil to really minimise waste.
This is very helpful as most of the time, we have excess foods after noche buena which we used up the next day or even more depending the type of food.
