Leftover Soup

Don't let your left over food turn into a waste. You can do something about it for another delicious meal that your kids are going to like. When I say left over, it means that the food is still safe to eat, been left in the fridge for  not more than 4 days. Make sure to check first if they look or smell unusual or when you are in doubt about the freshness or safety of any food, dispose it.

Ingredients:

  • left over mashed potato
  • left over  shrimp
  • left over cooked spaghetti noodles
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • powedered or cubed chicken bouillon
  • water or chicken stock
  • parsley for garnishing

Directions:

  • Boil water or chicken stock. Once boiled, add all the ingredients.
  • Stir well. Let boil  for another 2 minutes.
  • Season with salt, pepper and other seasoning  to taste.
  • Serve hot

  2. This sure looks yummy! :D Very resourceful too! Too bad though our household doesn't usually have leftovers. Either we cook just the right amount of food for the family, or talagang matatakaw lang kami.. :))

  5. I am good at maximizing leftovers, for soup, the spag noodles I would cut it in a cm or inch long size - like the Royco noodles I used to eat when I was a kid hehehe...

  7. Good way to handle leftover food. I'm usually picky and don't like eating leftovers, but when turned to a hot soup, I don't think I'll be complaining :D

  8. I like hot soup, particularly during the rainy season. Now I'll go to the kitchen and check usable leftovers in the refrigerator.
